JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Opportunities for Architects are very wide ranging from the design of a small residence to mega projects like multi use complex, hi-tech cities and new townships. Architects are mostly self employed immediately after graduation. The sandwiched practical training, which they undergo during their seventh semester of studies, shapes them to be a professional.

Apart from their private practice the Architects can get employment in government and public sector organizations like PWD, CPWD, P&T, HUDCO, NBCC, MES, Railways, Housing & Slum clearance Boards, City Corporations & Development Authorities, Health, Police, Social Welfare, Industries, Transport and Tourism Departments. They also have good opportunities in the upcoming and world wide recognized areas like low cost, Ecofriendly, Redevelopment, Upgradation, Adoptive reuse and Conservation projects. Apart from all the above every Architect is basically an Interior Designer too. Those who specialize more on this can become successful Interior designers also.
