| ABOUT
THE GROUP |
| |
| The
Hindustan Group of Institutions was founded
in 1966 by our Founder and Chairman, Dr.K.C.G.
Verghese. In the sixties, our Chairman
had realized the need for an Institution that
offers non-formal technical education. The
establishment of Hindustan Engineering Training
Centre (HETC) helped in the evolution of Hindustan
Institute of Engineering Technology (HIET)
which met this need. This educationalist,
industrialist and pioneer of the concept of
non-formal technical education in Chennai
(Madras) headed several other institutions.
These institutions aim at imparting quality
education in the field of engineering, aviation,
applied sciences and management |

| LOCATION |
| |
 |
| |
The
institutions within the fold of Hindustan
Engineering Training Centre (HETC) are located
in the city of Chennai is the Capital of Tamil
Nadu. It is the fourth largest metropolitan
city in India and it boasts of the second
longest coastline in the world. The city is
'young' in comparison with other Indian cities,
only a mere three and a half centuries old.
It is the nerve centre for dance, music, arts
and film making in South India. Inspite of
being the oldest of India's English settlements
and despite the cosmopolitan crowds that populate
it, Chennai is a city where traditions are
still followed.
The Hindustan College of
Engineering and National Institute of Technology
and Science campus are near to the coastal
area, wherein the students have several
offers to unwind and enjoy their breaks
from the studies. Within an easy driving,
there is an amusement park, private beach
resorts, a zoological park (Vandaloor zoo),
Guindy Deer and Snake park, Crocodile parks,
ancient temples on beaches, an Artists village,
open air theatre, etc. Weekend might find
you relaxing on the sandy beaches or else
in the crowded halls of music concerts,
Cinemas, Exhibition Centers, Museums, or
in any of the multi-cuisine restaurants
scattered in and around this ancient city.
